Arizona's Waterways
With hundreds of acres of lakes, reservoirs, dams, waterways and seashores that you can find in Arizona, it is not surprising that a great many people travel to the cool waters to seek relief from the desert heat.
Whether its for swimming, boating, fishing, tubing or just to wade in the water, you can enjoy just about anything at these wonderful and refreshing spots.
While there are recreations sites that offer on-site vendors who will rent equipment, there are many that do not. Some sites offer tour packages through concessionaires.
Special Note: Licensing, fees and seasonal restrictions vary from site to site; for more information on a particular watersport, please contact that site directly. Also be prepared to take out anything that you bring in. This helps protect our environment.
While there are thousands of bodies of water in the state, the following are some of the most popular attractions.
